Abstract

The analysis of the scientific heritage of R. Coase completes the conclusion «Coase’s ideas and post-Soviet Russia» (Yu. V. Latov, R. M. Nureev), which examines the peculiarities of the perception of R. Coase’s ideas and institutionalism in general in post-Soviet Russia. It is stated that since the beginning of the 2000s. In the academic literature, there is an active discussion of various aspects of neo-institutionalism, so that some of the most active participants in this discussion (R. I. Kapelyushnikov, A. N. Oleinik, D. E. Raskov, O. S. Suharev, A. E. Shastiko) can rightfully be considered «co-experts». At the same time, interest in the applied aspects of neoinstitutionalism is less expressed in Russian social science, which is largely due to the negative experience of the liberal reforms of the 1990s. In this regard, it is appropriate to recall the French economist V. Andreff, who in the early 1990s came to Russia to convey the opinion of Coase himself that the distribution of privatized property to «just about anyone» practiced at that time had nothing to do with the ideas of the Nobel laureate himself.
