Abstract

Iimages of the countries participating in World War II have undergone significant changes since 1945. The article presents data from public opinion surveys and academic studies conducted in various countries from 1945 to the present. The article examines changes in attitudes and assessments of the contribution of each nation to the victory. And how some episodes of the war have been assessed and to what extent they are represented in  living generations' cultural memory.
