Abstract

The purpose of the study is to form a methodology for conducting a sociological survey of representatives of different generations (age groups) of residents of Russia and Turkey in order to analyze their perception of Russian-Turkish marriages, the specifics of the functioning of cross-cultural marriages in the conditions of the formation of a new world order. Russia and Turkey are characterized by large-scale economic and political ties, tourist activity, and the implementation of cultural projects. Countries are in search of an effective model of demographic policy. A characteristic feature of the socio-demographic relations between Turkey and Russia is the increase in the number of cross-cultural marriages. However, there are no reliable estimates of this phenomenon, which affects the level of marriage and fertility in Turkey and Russia, based on data from representative studies. The paper substantiates the necessity and forms the scientific and practical basis for the study of cross-cultural marriages on the basis of generalization and consolidation of the efforts of scientists and practitioners of the two countries (Russia and Turkey). The main indicators and the structure of the toolkit are proposed, an approach to the formation of a sample population is formulated. The results of the study will make it possible to develop a set of measures and recommendations in the field of national family and demographic policy, including support for the institution of cross-cultural marriage.
