Abstract

The article analyzes the main theoretical approaches to the study of informal communication of modern organizations in the oil and gas sector. The relevance of studying informal communications in a manufacturing company is determined by the need for a sociological analysis of the obvious and latent consequences of their role in the preservation and development of the team in the new conditions for the functioning of oil and gas enterprises. Severe sanctions pressure contributed to increased rationalization of costs, bureaucratization of control, formalization of the evaluation of the work of each employee of the company, which in the long run can lead to a decrease in team cohesion due to the underestimation of constructive informal communications based on trust, solidarity, and mutual assistance. The article reflects the socio-cultural meaning of communication associated with the definition of the specifics of information exchange in a manufacturing company based on the analysis and generalization of sociological, psychological and cultural theories.
