Abstract

The development of the network society and its digital transformation at this stage and in the foreseeable future lead to an aggravation of social problems. Feelings of social injustice are increasing everywhere in the world, with all the political consequences that follow from this. Before society (in Russia and in the world) there is a political problem of a strategic nature, how to use technological transformation in such a way as to restructure the economic system and subordinate it to social goals. In the conditions of modern reality, the question of a new model of socio-political development objectively arises, which also involves the reorganization of the welfare state through the expansion of its influence on the development of society. The virtual world that has opened up to a person cannot replace the real world, but can only be its complement, providing new opportunities for technological, economic and socio-political development. However, no one has ever managed to make sure that everyone benefits from progress. Time will tell whether the world community will be able to make a leap into a prosperous future in the new conditions. The development of a networked society and digital technologies inevitably entail a political demand for new egalitarian strategies.
