Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify the opportunities and types of mentoring as a method of professional training and students of pedagogical direction and professional development of young teachers in the process of working in educational organizations. The methodological basis of the research is represented by the provisions of dialectical theory about the universal connection, interdependence and integrity of phenomena, the ideas of didactics and pedagogical anthropology about the training and upbringing of the individual, about education as a pedagogical process of culture translation and professional formation of a young specialist. Research result. In the course of the conducted research and analysis of the existing practical experience of higher educational institutions of Russia in organizing the process of professional development of senior students and graduates, the potential of mentoring as one of the system-forming factors in the professional development of a young teacher was revealed. The paper reveals the types and forms of mentoring as a modern approach to working with young specialists, aimed at the professional development of young teachers, assistance in the formation of an individual style of pedagogical activity, the realization of the creative potential of the future teacher, as well as the phenomenon of mentor self-realization and the interaction of representatives of different generations in pedagogical activity. The prospects of the research are to develop didactic support for the process of professional formation of a young teacher in the «mentor - mentored» model in the educational space of the university.
