Abstract

In modern conditions, the identification of the main trends, problems and risks of the formation and development of labor relations in the format of self-employment is a very relevant and topical issue. There is a steady positive trend of growth in the number of registered self-employed Russian citizens. However, there are certain problems and risks both on the part of the self-employed themselves and on the part of the state. The development of this type of work activity requires the improvement of both legislative and administrative norms, as well as the development of certain measures for social support and protection of registered citizens. Based on their own empirical research (expert survey), the authors evaluate the formats of economic behavior of the self-employed in modern conditions, existing economic and social risks, and also suggest ways to further improve the processes of regulation and management of self-employment in Russia.
