Abstract

The World Bank report for 2022 notes that global climate change is causing sea level rise, the effects of which will be felt more by five states, including Vietnam. The Socialist Republic is included in this list because of the high population density in river deltas and coastal areas, as well as because of the length of the coastline and geographical location in relation to cyclones. In the coming decades, the average temperature in the country will increase by 1.5 – 2 °C or even more due to the large amount of carbon dioxide emissions. The most important problem of climate change is the subsequent economic threats that have already become noticeable on the territory of the Vietnamese state. Climate change poses a serious risk to achieving good economic and sustainable development results. In this study, it is proposed to analyze the trends and features of climate change in Vietnam, the economic consequences of natural transformations, as well as to consider the internal mechanisms of state regulation in order to prevent the negative impact of natural and climatic phenomena on the economic situation in the country
