Abstract

The purpose of the work is to analyze the existing migration processes in the Russian Far East in the context of the eastern vector of development. Due to the serious outflow of the population, the economic development of the district is slowing down, which in turn in the coming decades may lead to the emergence of new, more dangerous difficulties. Therefore, solving the problem of population decline is an issue that requires special attention. Migration flows from other regions of Russia, as well as from foreign countries, can help with this problem. For this, it is necessary to radically reconsider the attitude towards migration. For example, today the issue is especially acute for migrants from non-CIS countries, such as China, Vietnam, etc. Their living conditions on the territory of the Russian Federation often do not meet universal human requirements, which repels potential labor migrants. Doing business is also a great help for them, since there is no proper control and assistance from the state in a number of issues. A good opportunity for businessmen would be the provision of land for production, reduction of tax levies, provision of privileges for doing business and simplification of the emergence of new enterprises in the region. This method would help highly qualified specialists, both Russian and foreign, to conduct business on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District, thereby contributing to the level of development of the region. The article provides an empirical analysis in recent years with the study of the dynamics of migration processes. The role of immigration in the Russian Far East is described, as well as the opportunities and risks of the region’s development due to immigration in the context of using its competitive advantages. It also provides a conceptual rationale for the presented data and their analysis. An important aspect of the work is the provision of practical recommendations for improving the system of regulation of immigration processes in the Far East.
