Abstract

The purpose of the article is to develop theoretical and applied principles of the quality of life of the population at the regional level. Based on the definitions of quality of life used by domestic and foreign scientists, it is proposed to understand this category as an indicator of the degree of provision of goods to the population in a quantitative and qualitative assessment, taking into account the conditions of the environment and its stability for the long-term satisfaction of material, cultural and spiritual needs. The study revealed the difference between the concept of quality of life and other evaluative indicators of human life, namely: standard of living, well-being, human and sustainable development. Quality of life involves a combination of quantitative and qualitative assessment of the degree of provision of goods and satisfaction of the needs of the population, taking into account environmental conditions and achieving its stable state with the properties of resilience. The criteria for assessing the quality of life were systematized, which made it possible to highlight the specifics of its provision at the state and regional levels. The main objectives of the policy to ensure the quality of life of the population in the context of creating an environment of opportunity are identified - creating a competitive environment in conditions of global mobility, ensuring stability, providing quality social services and developing social infrastructure.
