Abstract

The article analyzes group, collectivist values of Russian youth as prerequisites for its potential solidarization and collective actions. The article is based on the results of sociological researches of the Institute of Sociology of the FCTAS RAS and other research centers, as well as scientific publications of 2015-2021 on the value orientations of modern youth. The analysis proceeds from the idea of studying the attitude of Russian society to change laid down by V.V. Petukhov. Hewrote about the increasing demand for changes in society as a whole and especially among young people, about the request of a significant part of youth for a pro-Western course of development of the country, minimization of the role of the state in the economy. The analysis of the materials conducted by the author testifies to the strengthening of the significance of individualistic values in the youth environment, to the perception of collectivism and collective action as a tool for achieving personal goals. It emphasizes the decrease in the level of interpersonal and institutional trust, as well as the growing senses of non-subjectivity among young people, which reduce the potential for solidarity actions and actualize their non-political agenda, safe and conflict-free formats. There is raised a question about possibilities for positive scenarios of youth solidarization. The conclusion is made about the need for new foundations that would correspond to the values of young people and the possibilities for their implementation in the new realities, for the conditions for new life strategies for young people and for maintaining a sense of life perspective in the new realities among them.
