Abstract

The article describes the process of revealing constructive and destructive elements of the image of the profession of a psychologist in social media. The theoretical part of the work reveals the content of such concepts of profession, image, professional image, social media. Also the authors highlighted the features of attributing a human activity to the professional field. As well, the role of social media in shaping the image of the profession has been identified. The article studied the effect of the activities of popular media representatives of the profession of psychology specialists, who conduct their blogs on behalf of the professional community in social media, on the image of the professional group as a whole.
