Abstract

Educational strategies of rural youth are studied on the materials of sociological studies of high school graduates of the Novosibirsk region. Differences of plans for the education of rural youth in comparison with their urban contemporaries on materials of the surveys in 1998 and 2013 are shown in dynamics. Plans for education of the young people and their real choice on the materials of 2013 are compared: according to different types of educational institutions (universities, colleges, PU), according to various fields of study in higher education (undergraduate, graduate, specialty), according to different levels of prestige of the universities (seven levels as determined by the expert judgment). All analysis is performed on the basis of a comparison between the youth of villages of the Novosibirsk region and boys and girls of great city - Novosibirsk.
