Abstract

The article deals with principal processes, which took place in Macedonia in 2001, their prehistory and consequences.  Subjects of analysis are: the state of Albano-Macedonian relations after the achievement of state sovereignty by Macedonia; the status of the Albanian community within the country; activities of its major political parties and military leaders of the period in question; political situation in Macedonia during the years immediately after signing of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.
