Dreaming an ideal society in russia and china

Abstract

At the heart of the book - the results of in 2012 and 2013 by the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, research on the perceptions of the population of Russia and China on the desired future, as well as a number of other studies. Results allowed to define features of the Russian social project in comparison with the proposed in other cultural traditions, including the Chinese. The focus of the authors - the definition of Russian Dreams basic elements and Chinese dream of an ideal society, not only in relation to society as a whole, but also to the personal future in the part, which is somehow connected with the community. Much attention is paid to the identification of factors affecting the prevalence of individual elements of the image of a desired future, in particular the real situation in the respective areas of the two countries' population lives. Of particular interest is carried out based on various years of research data analysis of the dynamics of social consciousness in all key areas of life, the results of which are also presented in the book.
