The article discusses some aspects of professional continuity in the field of engineering. The article analyzes the factors of the genesis, the prosperity and extinction of an engineering dynasty. The powerful role of engineering dynasties in scientific, technical and socio-cultural development of the society motivates the state to produce support mechanisms for the development of the professional dynastic in the realities of economic and historical development.
