Sociocultural contradictions between the power and society in modern Russia

Abstract

Subject of article are sociocultural contradictions between the power and society in modern Russia. It is shown that they are determined by a dichotomy of the remaining traditiona l values of the Russian culture (first of all justice and freedom) and the western values which influence is traced in social policy of the authorities. Valuable orientations of youth are distinguished by a combination of the main traditional values and high requests to standard of living, status line items. It creates social request to the power for forming the own Russian model of development of society which will allow to realize human potential through updating of values of justice and freedom understood as opportunities and conditions for development of the person.
