Abstract

The analysis is based on the materials of the project «Education, labor market and social behavior of youth in modern economic situation». In this article the data from the poll students of some average special educational institutions are analyzed. These institutions train skilled workers and employees. Till 2013 they entered the system of the primary professional education (PPE). The main function of these institutions is still the reproduction of the Russian working class. Training there doesn't practically change that absolute prevalence of persons interested to work at the exit on persons interested to study further which is observed at the entry in these educational institutions. However, the function of reproduction of the working class is complicated because of the weakness of mechanisms for employment of these graduates. In general, the specialized secondary schools perform their basic function – to reproduce the working class – only about 50% (the share of those students who want to work in the specialty after their graduation and who are confident in implementing of their plans). To satisfy better the needs of the majority students and therefore contribute to a better transition from school to work, these specialized secondary schools need to pay more attention to the employment of their graduates (first of all, to distribution system to work and relations with enterprises).
