Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the socio-cultural organization of the Yezidi diaspora in Krasnodar krai. The paper considers the issues of ethnic self-identification of the Yezidi, determines the factors of ethnic consolidation and the structural features of this ethnic group. The mechanisms of adaptation of the Yezidi community to a different cultural environment are discussed; forms of interaction with the local population are analyzed. The author concludes that religion is integral to the Yezidi ethnicity, and the caste system is its distinctive feature.
