Abstract

The question of equality of women in the field of Russian politics dates back to the revolutionary days of October, 1905, when, under pressure from society, there appeared the Supreme Manifesto of Nicholas II, declared that the country introduced a new constitutional order and, as the organ of popular representation shall be convened by the State Duma. Published on 11 December 1905 the law on elections to the Duma gave suffrage only to men. Women were excluded from the category of citizens having political power. And through an extensive network of organizations began to achieve them. Largely due to their activity the beginning of the revolutionary process of 1917 marked the many thousands demonstration of women demanding not only bread and the return of the men with the war, but also providing them with a voice. Rally in support of the demands of women's equality was so powerful that the February revolution officially recognized the equality of women one of the principles of functioning of the Russian policy. After the October events, the Soviet government reiterated the commitment to this principle. These facts meant that the policy was gender reconstruction, institutional redistribution: in this field, breaking the millennial male monopoly on power, the law made women. Such a redistribution at the dawn of the twentieth century happened all over the world. Russia has entered on this path one of the first.
