Abstract

The article centers around the question if  principles of social  justice are observed in gender relations in present day Russia. The author believes the question is important because social justice in the modern meaning of the term is closely connected with the problem of social and gender equality, and thus probably is the main marker that determines the boundary between the norms of traditional and modern societies. The analytical material is supported with the data of Global Gender Gap Reports prepared by World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The article shows how the given data allows to measure the depth of gender inequality in different spheres of life of   country as well as determine the place of a country in the world rating of global gender gap
