Abstract

The uncertainty of our time determines the value of the new configurations within the boundaries of the intersection of religion, politics and society, as well as forms of inter-religious relations. The penetration of religious meanings in public space and policy space overlaps with the peculiarities of the Russian multi-religious dispensation that defines the specificity of the socio-political structures and ensure the sustainability of civilization. The subject of research is religious extremism in it’s modern, primarily subject-political forms, as a threat to the interdenominational peace and social stability in Russia, as well as search algorithms to counteract it and develop social alternatives. In modern Russia the key problems acquire special significance in context of the need to ensure the value of unity and the imperatives of national security. The emphasis is made on methodological options of today’s uncertain world, when the destructive technology cooperation in politics, such as fear, war, risk, etc. become decisive. Implicitly their destructive strategy of behavior cause and formulating the image of a just society based on the phenomenon of “post-truth” and value the resource of religion. The constructive forms of countering religious extremism in the Russian society and the activities of religious organizations, especially in social and ideological contexts are discussed.
