Using the example of the representative survey of the population of the Republic of Bashkortostan conducted in 2013, it was shown that, contrary to expectations, the Muslims of the republic refer to the presence of migrant Muslims with significantly greater negativism than the Orthodox host population. This can be explained by the differences in the directions of Islam professed by the host population and migrants, as well as by the threat of penetration of radical Islamism into the host Muslim environment.
