Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the Chekhov’s theater in context of the classical interpretation of dramatic art in “Poetics” by Aristotle. The particular attention is given to the special effects, which are generated in ancient tragedy (according to Aristotle) and in most famous Chekhov’s plays. The article surveys some transformations, which the classic antique model of dramatic narration’s structure underwent in dramatic concept of Chekhov. The article is devoted to the consideration of the Chekhov’s theaterin context of the classical interpretation of dramatic art in “Poetics” byAristotle.
