Reliability of Results of Sociological Research

Abstract

The book examines the components of empirical knowledge in sociology - reliable fixing of primary data, obtaining of their system, analysis of the obtained data system by adequate means. There are several instrumental criteria that reflect the specificity of social phenomena, taking into account the uncertainty, nonadditivity, non-autonomy, variability of social properties and objects. It is substantiated that empirical knowledge is the result of reliable development of all components and criteria using qualitative and quantitative research approaches. For sociologists, philosophers, specialists in the humanities, who are interested in the problems of applying mathematics and the reliability of empirical substantiation of conclusions in social and humanitarian studies.
