Abstract

The article examines the socio-cultural foundations of patriotism, due to the differences between Western and Russian cultural and political traditions. The correlation between patriotism and state-civil identity is analyzed, the presence of which is able to integrate various ethnocultural groups within the country. The authors note that the basis for the formation of Russian patriotism and state-civic identity should be those aspects of the activities of the Russian state, which are objectively the subject of national pride.
