Abstract

The social and demographic group of elderly people is not only one of the most numerous, but also the fastest growing group of people. This global trend is typical for our country as well, especially for Russian megacities.Citizens who have reached retirement, are traditionally considered one of the most defenseless and vulnerable groups of the population. As the age of a person increases, the burden of problems accumulates, and vital forces and resources to cope with difficulties run low. Therefore, one of the main tasks of state social policy is to compensate for this contradiction and mitigate the adverse impact of social reality by means of the social protection of the older generation.
