Abstract

The article deals with the problems of studying corruption in the context of social and political realities of modern Russia. It is noted that it may be related to the most serious risk factors of the modern Russian society from the point of view of its negative effects, thus slowing down and holding back social development. The phenomenon of corruption is of particular interest not only for scientists working in the field of social and humanitarian knowledge, but also for politicians and public figures. Ineffectiveness or little effectiveness of anti – corruption policy measures in most countries of the world leads to the conclusion about the need for a comprehensive study of its theoretical and methodological aspects, including in the political context. In the political context, the extent and forms of corrupt practices and practices within the political system of society, as well as the most effective anti-corruption measures, are of the greatest interest. Many experts pay attention to the diversity of corrupt practices, modification of their forms, the systemic nature of the functioning and reproduction of corruption in our country and the world. It is obvious that it is necessary to solve the problem not only by applying a set of anti-corruption measures, but also by forming public opinion, as well as by raising the level of political and legal ( including anti-corruption) culture of the population.
