Abstract

The article present a chronicle of cultural catastrophe and the specifics of the participation of various actors in the process of elimination its consequences, with an emphasis on the activities of volunteers. The value specificity of the catastrophe is also shown, which is manifested in the fact that a cultural catastrophe becomes an extraordinary event only for specific groups of the population.
