Abstract

The article presents the main results of a sociological analysis of the social and cultural attitudes of the population of the South of Russia. The indicators of transformational changes in the views of the South Russian population were attitudes toward Soviet holidays, ethnic traditions and attitudes toward traditions in general. The factors contributing to the transformation of these schemes in a poly-ethnic society of the region are presented.
