Abstract

The article is devoted to intra-professional differentiation of general education teachers. The results of the survey of school teachers and kindergarten teachers allow us to note both similarities and differences in the assessment of the status of the profession. Changes in labor relations in the post-Soviet period contributed to the growing importance of employment stability in the eyes of employees, often due to the weakening of requirements for legal protection and corporate autonomy, and often income. The situation in the sphere of pre-school education is complex, characterizes by the greater entrenchment of gender stereotypes in professional culture, resource inequality of the group, the spread of the opinion about the need to accept low status indicators, shortcomings of working conditions.
