Abstract

In the article on the data of quantitative research Youth in the labor market: strategies of professionalization and employment of youth cohort in modern Russian society (the sample size is 3865 respondents based on the Internet panel) the dependence of job satisfaction on the type of employment is analyzed. The analysis is carried out on a sub-sample of young people working and by the time of participation in the survey completed their education. Depending on the type of employment and the way of formalizing relations with the employer, the sub – sample was divided into two groups-a group of stable employees (working under an indefinite contract or a contract with a term exceeding 3 years) and a group with unstable employment (self-employed, employed for another person or working under a fixed-term contract, without registration, on the basis of an oral agreement). As a result of the analysis carried out in two groups, no statistically significant differences were found either in the estimates of job satisfaction as a whole or in its individual aspects.
