Abstract

The article presents the analysis of modern sociological and anthropological studies of the domestic field of social work and social service (social care). The key question that served as a starting point for the study: what and how do sociologists and anthropologists studying the sphere of social care in modern Russia study? According to the results of the search for relevant publications in electronic databases were identified and analyzed five thematic areas: the history of social work / social services in Russia; analysis of professional employment in the field of social services / care and social work as a profession; participation of non-profit organizations, volunteers and business organizations in the field of social services / care; the problem of inclusion of social services / care; analysis of the introduction of new practices / technologies in social work. The main problem is the lack of real empirical research and, as a consequence, the low average level of publications.
