Translation from the French of a fragment of a posthumously published lecture course “Moral Education” by Emile Durkheim (1925). This published fragment includes from the second to the seventh lectures. In the course of Durkheim it is the most important from the sociological view point; it concerns with the basic elements and principles of morality as a social institution.
