Abstract

The data of the Russian sample of the international study “Behavior of school-age children in relation to health” conducted under the auspices of WHO every four years are analyzed. The project involves 44 countries in Europe, Asia and North America. In almost all respects, Russian schoolchildren have worse health indicators than most of their peers from other countries. This situation is determined by the existing social policy in the field of adolescent health: the lack of a healthy and safe lifestyle culture, the low awareness of young people about risky behaviors, and the absence of the subject “Health” in secondary and higher education
