Abstract

The author traces the changes in the conceptual schemes and vocabulary of metatheoretic analysis in the social sciences due to the emergence and spread of multi-, inter-, anti-, trans - and post-disciplinary research strategies. There are two types of dissociation in modern social theory: dissociation caused by disciplinary autonomy, differentiation and specialization of modern sciences, and dissociation caused by anti-disciplinary postmodern deconstruction, decentralization and fragmentation of knowledge. Special attention is paid to the dialogic approach to metatheoretization, corresponding to the transdisciplinary and postdisciplinary reconfiguration of socio-humanitarian knowledge. One of the promising directions of metatheoretic analysis is its convergence and integration with object sociological research in the school of new historical sociologists.
