Abstract

Statistics show that the Nizhny Novgorod region is attractive to migrants and remains an important recipient region in the Volga Federal District. Over the past 5 years, there has been a surplus in international migration. As migration processes increase, attention should be focused on migrant workers 'communities, their interaction with the diaspora and host society. The article highlights the main problems of migrant communities on the basis of an expert interview conducted in the region in 2015-2017.
