Abstract

The article considers an example of forced catching-up development of the spatial social reality that Italy has been representing for the new and modern times. As a country of the Western world, belonging to a technogenic civilization, Italy continues to preserve the essential elements of a traditionalist civilization, which are a significant factor in its backwardness, constantly asserting itself until today. This gave rise to various projects to overcome backwardness, which should make up for lost historical opportunities.
