The use of a wide information base - materials of state statistics, the RLMS HSE survey, a specially conducted sociological online survey and interviews of students and graduates (with work experience) of part-time courses at universities - made it possible to carry out a comprehensive study of the modern evolution of this form of higher education, subjective aspects and real educational and the labor behavior of students and those who have long-term use of higher education received by correspondence.
