Abstract

The article examines the features of the territorial settlement system of the Middle Urals. The object of observation is the movement of the population in rural areas of individual administrative-territorial and municipal formations of the Sverdlovsk region in 2010–2018. A total of 15 such municipalities are described. A proposal has been formulated to establish a nature reserve or national park on this territory. It is quite possible that such a development of events will open the way for the implementation of the third priority of the Strategy-2030 program of the Sverdlovsk region, which involves ensuring the balanced development of the region's territory.
