Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the stages of development of regional political communication in modern conditions of structuring the information space. The author identifies 3 main periods, studying which he comes to the conclusion about the tendency of leveling the differences between the all-Russian and regional segments of the information space in the direction of common principles of its formation. The article assesses the influence of the Internet on the development of political communication in dynamics, as well as analyzes the factors of information interaction between the government and society on the example of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The current level of development of telecommunications networks and communication channels allows us to note the trend of forming a single Federal information space, while the structure of the media field of the subject repeats the all-Russian one. The convenience of using the Internet through modern communication devices determines the information preferences of the population, and, consequently, it is virtual media that has the highest rating among the population. The structure and accessibility of information leads to an increase in the number of consumers, and the ability to get access to almost any source of interest forms the basis for expanding the boundaries of political participation of citizens and mechanisms of Internet-mediated political communications. Internet-mediated political communications here should be understood as the totality of communicative contacts occurring in the information space of the Internet, which differ in socio-political topics and political context
