Return on the labor market is recorded both in the subjective perceptions and assessments of students and graduates, and expressed objectively. The transition of graduates in the hierarchy of social and professional statuses, which occurred as a result of the use of the received education, is analyzed. It is shown that differences in starting status affect the success of converting received part-time higher education into positions corresponding to a higher education diploma; the presence or absence of a connection between the specialty of education and the performed profession significantly affects the ability to use the level of qualifications awarded by the diploma
