Abstract

Demographic development of Russia: trends, forecasts, measures. The National Demographic Report -2020 was prepared by demographers and sociologists of the Institute for Demographic Research – Branch of the Federal Center of Theoretical and Applied Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The report examines the specifics of the demographic situation in Russia in 2018-2020, including the dynamics and characteristics of marriage, fertility, mortality, formation of labor resources, aging, support for the older generation , migration processes. It also presents a forecast of the possible impact of the measures outlined by the President of the Russian Federation in 2020 on the prospects for the demographic development of Russia according to two options (scenarios) until 2050.
