Abstract

In the context of the multinationality of a regional society, the activities of national associations are of particular importance. These associations function in the form of national-cultural autonomies and national-cultural associations. Among the numerous functions, it is necessary to highlight the coordinating one: they act as a mechanism of communication between ethnic groups, the host society, and, often, the authorities of the region. The article examines the attitude of students of Nizhny Novgorod universities to the activities of national-cultural organizations of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The conclusions are based on the results of a study that was conducted at the LUNN by the authors in 2019
