Abstract

The article reflects the results of a study of the impact of migration on regional labor markets in the context of a decline in the working-age population in Russia. After substantiating the relevance of the issues under consideration, the authors propose a methodological analysis toolkit, the author's methodology for calculating the coefficients of permanent long-term external and internal labor migration in regional labor markets, and the coefficient of total migration burden. In addition, the authors provide a description of the information and statistical base of the study. According to the current registration of population migration, the materials of Rosstat sample surveys of Russian labor migrants leaving for work in other regions, regional balances of labor resources based on the calculated load factors on the labor market, the impact of migration on the regional labor markets of Russia over the past decade is analyzed. The increasing role of internal labor migration in many regions, primarily in the largest economic agglomerations and oil and gas territories, has been identified, while the role of external labor migration remains stable and the minimum indicators of the contribution of permanent migration to the formation of regional labor markets are decreasing ...
