Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of those aspects of transnational migration that are associated with the consequences of the rapid spread of the coronavirus pandemic across the planet. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the socio-economic problems of migrants who find themselves outside their countries have worsened. The purpose of this work is to identify and disclose the impact of coronavirus infection on the flows of international migration in the format of the union states of Russia and Belarus. The study showed that international population migration is one of the most important aspects of the development of the two countries and plays a significant role in shaping their demographic potential. Based on the use of statistical methods and the results of sociological research, the work analyzes the impact of the pandemic on international labor exchange. The assessment of the situation of labor migrants and their migration intentions is given. Particular attention is paid to the problem of intensifying migration policy in the context of overcoming the crisis provoked by the pandemic. The analysis carried out in the article made it possible to determine the tasks and specific ways of solving the existing problems in regulating the flows of international labor migration.
