Abstract

The article deals with changes in the living space of individuals in an extreme situation and everyday practices of the urban population of Russia in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is shown that the situation of the pandemic actualizes the reflection on the spatial parameters of everyday life of citizens. This situation initiates a revision of the significance of direct interpersonal contacts in different spheres of life. For the analysis of remote work practices, the material of the coronaf project was used, according to which these practices covered more than 10% of the urban population of Russia during the lockdown period. It is shown that these practices problematize the concepts of workplace and working time, increasing the functional load on the home.
