Abstract

In the year of the 75th anniversary of Victory, officially declared in our country as the Year of Memory and Glory, it seems quite justified to turn to the topics related to the Great Patriotic War. This report presents the view not of a historian, but of a sociologist and social philosopher. Of course, a short text does not imply a full picture. This report is an attempt to use the material of military history, memoirs of commanders and veterans to determine which form of social behavior was dominant among the commanders and rank-and-file soldiers of the Soviet Army during the war. There is reason to believe that the events of that period have not yet been considered from this angle. We come to the conclusion that the events of the Great Patriotic War, especially the defense of Leningrad and the Stalingrad battle, prove that the actor's mode of social action is dominant in Russian society, manifesting itself especially clearly during periods of severe crises, such as wars, natural and social cataclysms.   volume_up content_copy   share
