Theoretical research and world experience: the theme of happiness occupies one of the central places in philosophy (Democritus, Aristippus, Plato, L. A. Feuerbach, V. S. Soloviev, etc.), psychology (E. Diner, M. Chikszentmihalyi, M. Finchman, G. Howard and others) of sociology (M. Weber, T. Parsons, P. Sorokin and others) and in other social sciences. A number of countries have established government bodies to deal with happiness. For example, Thailand has established a Gross National Happiness Center, Venezuela has a Ministry of Higher Social Happiness, and Ecuador has a State Secretariat for the Good Life.
