Abstract

The paper presents the results of studying the lifestyle of pensioners as a separate social group, their role in public life. An assessment of the social activity of the older generation through the concept of involvement in social processes is given. The frequency and forms of labor, socio-political, cognitive-educational and cultural-leisure activities of people of retirement age are considered. The factors of social activity of pensioners are determined, restrictions for its manifestation are highlighted. The empirical data are based on the results of a mass survey conducted in the South of the Tyumen region.
